Community comes out for First Friday at Lazy Magnolia
At Lazy Magnolia, becoming a member has its perks. On First Fridays, members can fill their handcrafted mug with complimentary brews.
Today, the brewery in the Kiln was hosting their First Friday event which coincided with Jeepin the Coast.
The atmosphere was vibrant with live music and plenty of mugs ready to be raised.
Lazy Magnolia has successfully transformed its taproom into a community hub. Lazy Magnolia Marketing Director Anna Claire Perronne said, “Every month we partner with a local charity. For this month, it’s the Children’s Center and we combine efforts with Jeepin the Coast. We have a great turnout of Jeep enthusiast and a portion of the proceeds go to support the chosen charity.”
USM Children Center Director Sarah Meyers said, “We are the Children’s Center, located at USM, and we provide free services to families with babies aged birth to five who have disabilities at no cost to families.”
Lazy Magnolia has been hosting these First Friday events for 15 years. Now, each month features a different nonprofit organization, shining a spotlight on their work.
