Community celebrates at MLK Day Parade and Battle of the Bands
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Gulf Coast honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with music, unity, and celebration.
In Biloxi, the annual MLK Day Parade rolled through downtown followed by a battle of the bands that brought the crowd to its feet.
From floats and dance teams, the community came together to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy through unity and music.
Families lined the streets as the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade made its way through Biloxi.
Marching bands, community organizations, and local leaders all took part, each paying a tribute to Dr. King’s message of equality and service.
After the parade, the celebration continued with a battle of the bands where the sounds of brass and drums echoed. Bands from across the area competed, bringing energy and pride to the stage.
