Community Builds Tree House for Ocean Springs Boy

Cooper Clower, diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of three, recently received a trip to the Bahamas with his family courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The surprises didn’t stop there.
Cooper originally wished for a tree house built by Tree Master’s Pete Nelson. Unfortunately, Nelson’s wait list was about three to four years too long. A group of Ocean Springs residents teamed up to build Cooper a tree house while he was away on his trip to the Bahamas.
News 25 caught up with Cooper today to hear his thoughts on his brand new tree house. “I like that I can put chairs in it and eat lunch and watch for deer and look for turkeys.”
The group of volunteers worked on the tree house from Thursday until seconds before Cooper and his family returned home.
