Comeback Coolers receives donation of 500 coolers
‘People helping People’ is the phrase used to describe the 500 coolers delivered to Comeback Coolers tonight.
In the fall, coolers were delivered to a company that flooded in Tennessee called Hood Container. The employees were thankful for the help and wanted to pay it forward by donating 1,000 coolers to others who could use them in the future.
A group of about 15 volunteers came out to help unload the coolers and store them so they’re ready for use for the next community in need. Hood Container Trades Manager Heather Jenkins said, “What our goal is is to kind of keep them in cooler inventory so that when a natural disaster hits, they have coolers ready, decorated and ready to roll out. In the past I know that they had always scrambled to get the coolers. So, when I asked Heather Eason with Comeback Coolers, I was like what is your number one need, she said ‘we need coolers.’”
Between two storage lockers, the 500 coolers were stored and ready to be decorated. The next shipment of 500 coolers is expected soon.
