College World Series: Ole Miss vs. Arkansas

Head Coach Mike Bianco said, “We try to remind them, enjoy this. Yeah, it’s a business trip and all those things and all those coaches speak stuff that we all would think, but the truth is they need to enjoy it. I mean this is why they’re doing it. This is their passion and you play to win and have fun with your teammates. And when you have wins like last night, it’s exciting. But it’s also great that these guys have been mature and it’s a veteran club to where I think they can put it behind them and realize that we’ve got another game on Wednesday.”

Ole Miss living in the moment and yet staying ready for the next moment.

The stakes for the Rebels are simple, win and they’re in the College World Series championship series for the first time in program history.

Lose and they’re facing elimination tomorrow against Arkansas who clobbered Auburn 11-1 last night to keep their Omaha dreams alive.

Rebels and Razorbacks face off for the second time in three days. Ole Miss won the last match-up 13-5.

Arkansas wins 3-2, Rebels had bases loaded, no outs, only able to push one across in the ninth. These two teams will run it back tomorrow.

On the other side of the bracket, Oklahoma punching its ticket to the championship series with a 5-1 win over Texas A&M, taking away the chance of an all-SEC best of three.
