Coldwell Bank Company Brunch
2016 looks like a great year for real estate. This is according to Coldwell Banker President and CEO Budge Huskey, who spoke at the company’s brunch today.
The event was held this morning at the Great Southern Club in Gulfport. Huskey praised the Gulf Coast Coldwell Banker Branch’s performance last year for being one of the 60 firms out of 800 to be a part of the Chairman Circles.
Huskey tells News 25 rising interest rates are helping a recovering housing industry and that the higher rates are a sign the economy is strengthening. “At this point, it’s all about what’s going to happen moving forward. It’s all back to the fundamentals. It’s going to be driven by progress in the economy, progress in jobs and wages and we anticipate 2016 is going to be a strong year. I’m particularly impressed to be here in this area.”
Huskey told News 25 the higher interest rates are necessary. However, they are still the lowest rates he has witnessed in his entire career.
