Cold Weather Shelters Run on Donations

As temperatures continue to drop here on the Coast and overnight temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing the next few nights, cold weather shelters again will be opening their doors to those in need.
If you’re looking to help, shelters are always in need of donations, whether it is your time or materials. The Harrison County Cold Weather Shelter in D’iberville is collecting hats, scarves, and gloves as well as coffee creamer and sugar. You can bring donations to the Kenny Fournier Multi-purpose Center on Automall Parkway in D’iberville.
The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to come help inside the shelters. If you’re interested in donating your time, call 228-207-2303.
