Cold weather shelters opening in South Mississippi

Due to anticipated cold weather, shelters are opening in South Mississippi later today.

In Harrison County, the warming center at the Kenny Fournier Multipurpose Building will open at 4:30 p.m. Transportation assistance is available. Call Coast Transit Authority at 228-896-8080 for more information.

In Jackson County, the warming center at the Jackson County Fair Hall in Pascagoula will open tonight at 5 p.m. It will remain open until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Transportation assistance is available. Call your local law enforcement agency for more information:
