Cold weather shelters opening

In anticipation of cold-weather conditions, two cold-weather shelters will open January 12th, 2024.
The Kenny Fournier Multipurpose Center opens today at 4:30 p.m. That shelter is located at 10395 Automall Parkway in D’Iberville.
In Gulfport, the Salvation Army Center of Hope will open at 6 p.m. That shelter is located at 2019 22nd Street.
Coast Transit Authority will provide transportation to the D’Iberville Shelter. For more information about sheltering, contact EMA at 228-865-4002.
The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency in coordination with the Hancock County Board of Supervisors will open a cold weather shelter January 12th. The shelter will be open from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m. and is located at the Emergency Operations Center Building at 18333 Highway 603 in the Kiln.
