Cold-stunned turtles picked up after plane diverted due to weather

Cold-stunned turtles meant for the Mississippi Gulf Coast had to be diverted due to weather in the area.

Those turtles were being flown into Million Air in Gulfport but were diverted to Pensacola. The Mississippi Aquarium didn’t let this get in the way as they drove to meet the plane.

One of the smallest turtles received was only 2.2 pounds!
