Cold Cases with Chloe Carter: The Story of Kimberly Jo Watts

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- It’s time now for our new monthly series here at WXXV, Cold Cases with Chloe Carter.

In this inaugural episodes, Chloe Carter takes you through a still unsolved case that has haunted the Long Beach community for more than a decade now.

It was Veterans Day Weekend 2014, Kimberly Jo Watts, a dedicated nurse and devoted mother, took her normal route home along Highway 90 after a day of work at Memorial Hospital, enjoying the sunset with a rainbow and American flag to send family members and ‘Don’t forget the Veterans.’

Her family says that was purely Kim, a moment of kindness and beauty that matched her spirit.

What they did not know, that was the last time they would ever hear from Kim.
