Coastal Family Health Center receives oral health grant

Coastal Family Health Center is getting $40,000 to expand dental care across the region.

The grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation will help pay for new equipment and expanded preventative screenings.

That includes oral health screenings at school-based clinics and oral cancer screenings through the center’s mobile medical unit.

Officials say the goal is to catch problems earlier and connect children and adults with follow-up care.
