Coastal Family Health Center holds ribbon cutting for new Biloxi location

A large health center has expanded along the Coast.

There was not an open parking spot in sight for Coastal Family Health Center’s ribbon cutting in East Biloxi.

Several members of the Coast community gathered to see the business open their doors to the public for the first time.

Coastal is a federally qualified community health center that’s a 340B Pharmacy, which allows them to help low-income and uninsured patients to buy outpatient prescription drugs at a discount of 25 to 50 percent.

Members of Coastal Family Health Center are celebrating this long-awaited day. Coastal Family Health Center CEO Angel Greer said, “This is an incredible day for Coastal Family Health Center. We have long desired to offer our patients here in East Biloxi a convenient drive through, and now we have the opportunity to do that. This is thrilling.”

Pharmacy Services Director Dr. Racheal Butler said, “For the patients to have a place here to come in, to get their medications… like I said, the beautiful facility, have a drive through option. It’s just expanding services for the Gulf Coast and the patients of Coastal, as well as the community.”

The new location is located at 1029 Division Street and it will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a lunch hour from 12:30 to 1:30.
