Coast Transit Authority hosted Try Transit Day across the Coast

Coast Transit Authority invited everyone to ride free all day during Try Transit Day.

CTA wants locals to experience how riding public transit can save passengers money, boost the economy, and promote a greener community.

CTA offered free rideS all day during Try Transit Day as a way to introduce residents to public transit.

Yvette Vogel, CTA’s marketing and mobility coordinator, explains how Try Transit Day raises awareness about the environment. “CTA is always on the cutting edge of how to help the environment. We have so many different types of buses including Mississippi’s first battery electric bus for public transit. We’ve got many different hybrid buses, propane buses, so many different types. In general, just riding the bus helps the environment and helps keeps the Mississippi Gulf Coast beautiful.”
