Coast Transit Authority debuting new bus stop signs

Coast Transit Authority is debuting new bus stop signs across the Gulf Coast as part of a broader effort to modernize its system and improve rider experience.

The new signs were prompted by the end of CTA’s hail system. The updated signage introduces color-coded routes, coastal animal mascots, and stop IDs.

Riders can reference their stop ID when calling dispatch to easily identify their location and obtain next bus arrival.

Executive Director Ninette Barrios championed the redesign as part of a larger push to refresh CTA’s identity and bring modern, rider-friendly features to the system.

Upcoming updates include new maps, cashless payment options, and a digital trip planner.
