Coast student elected as district governor of Key Club

A Gulf Coast student was recently awarded an incredible honor from Key Club International.

St. Patrick Catholic High School Junior Emerson Morris was elected governor of the Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee District of Key Club International for the 2022-23 Service Year.

Key Club International is a service organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of others across communities and the world.

As one of just 34 governors internationally, Morris will serve 5,000 members in more than 700 high school chapters across the district while interacting with students in 30 different countries. “I don’t like to think of it as receiving it. I l like to think of it as me being in a place where I can serve others, really help them come to their fullest potential and really helping them succeed whatever they may be, whether that be in Key Club or in life. So, it’s a super super exciting position to hold, and I really just cannot wait for this next service year.”

Emerson will work to establish her own platform for service across her district while supporting the work of Key Club International.
