Coast schools will have access to 24/7 live tutoring
Fourteen Coast schools will soon give students the option to access online tutoring 24/7 thanks to Mississippi Department of Education partnering with Paper.
MDE became the first state organization to enter a partnership with Paper, which will soon offer 350,000 public school students in grades three through 12 access to 24/7 live and online tutoring.
Paper, the online tutoring company, will allow students to log in from any device for live tutoring in English language arts and math.
Students can also upload any written work for detailed feedback from highly skilled tutors.
Pascagoula Gautier Superintendent Dr. Wayne Rodolfich says this will not only help students but also be beneficial for teachers. “Any assistance that we can provide or the Mississippi Department of Education can provide to help ease their workload will be very welcomed by the teachers. I also think it gives our students a different perspective and a different way of looking at some of the lessons that they are learning by having different people work with them outside of the classroom.”
MDE plans to spend $10.7 million of its American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds for the Paper services.
