Coast families can become part of the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum

There are new exhibits and a new way for families on the Gulf Coast to be a part of them at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi.
The Great Families of the Gulf Coast Campaign was announced at the museum during a press conference this morning. The campaign will raise money to finish the pod galleries on the campus and give families that participate the chance to have their names inscribed on the floors of the pods.
Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art Executive Director Kevin O’Brien tells News 25 they plan to fill the pods with artwork and pottery done by George Ohr. “This is really an international facility and when we get this thing done, we’ve got a lot more things coming in from all over the country that we can actually exhibit. George Ohr collectors are ready to bring in extra pieces for us to show. We’ll really become a national center for George Ohr. So people that live here on the Gulf Coast can be proud of their own native artist and they’re a part of that whole legacy.”
The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum recently added two new exhibits.
