Coast Electric hosts blood drives
Coast Electric teamed up with the American Red Cross Thursday for a blood drive.
The blood drive took place at the Coast Electric building in the Kiln.
Donors filed in to do their part in contributing to the health and well-being of others. Blood drives are a necessary way to maintain and keep a stable supply of blood.
As Coast Electric’s Director of Communications April Lollar tells us, Mississippi is still experiencing a blood supply shortage. “Giving blood is so important, in Mississippi there are blood shortages all the time. Red Cross does their part to stop the shortages. Every time someone donates, that one donation can save up to three lives. So, we think it’s really important that if you can donate to do so.”
