Coast Con returns to Biloxi after being postponed due to COVID
Coast Con returned to the Coliseum over the weekend, uniting comic book and anime enthusiasts from all across South Mississippi.
Last year’s Coast Con was postponed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Game Operations Director John Grigsby says it is good to be back. Cosplay, video games, authors, artists, all of these combine to create a rich tradition of celebrating the geek inside us all.
Grigsby says the response after taking a year off has been exceedingly positive. “Best part of the con this year — for me it’s been the gaming room. We’ve been very busy, we’ve had a lot of people in there, it’s just been hopping all three days. We’ve been away from each other for a couple of years. This is a good opportunity for people to get together who are like-minded.”
Coast Con celebrated its 44th anniversary this year.
