Coast Coliseum site administering 900 COVID-19 vaccines
Harrison County residents are going to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum as they are administering vaccinations to qualifying individuals.
Only county residents that pre-registered may receive their vaccine dose and they must enter at gate three on Beauvoir Road.
This vaccination site has been open for a little over a month now and have since almost doubled the amount they are administering a day. With this, there has been a few speed bumps with the process. Coliseum Site Officer Lt. Justin Forest said, “If you don’t have to travel on that road, don’t travel on it because we’re pushing out 900 vaccines. There’s a lot of traffic now.”
Harrison County resident Grace Teel said, “It was easy. We got here early. I’m so excited to be vaccinated because I feel like it’s an end to the pandemic.”
“We’re asking the civilian population to be patient and be able to give them the vaccines, we just got to get all the ducks in a row.”
For more information on getting the vaccine you can call the Mississippi COVID-19 hotline seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 877-978-6453.
