Coast child qualifies for Pitch-Hit-Run competition in Houston
A Bay St. Louis 8-year-old is headed to Houston after showing up and showing out at a recent Pitch-Hit-Run competition in New Orleans.
Ryder Fontenot found out he qualified to move on in the competition.
Fontenot has been playing baseball for three years.
If he fares well in Houston, he will be entered for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the World Series this fall!
Ryder said he loves baseball and practices every day, shortstop being his favorite position.
His dad Patrick Fontenot and his mom Casie say the family will make a weekend of the trip to Houston for the August 18th competition, taking in an Astros game afterward.
