Coast Bowlers show out during final week of regular season!
We’re starting the night off at Cypress Lanes in D’Iberville where different coast schools joined to compete in one of their final competitions of the regular season. Out of eight boys teams and eight girls teams, Hancock high school took home first place in both! The boys won with 3,958 pins, and the girls won with 2,900 pins.
All of the local schools were on the top of their games tonight as they have one more meet before regional play next week. Biloxi junior William Lai says the Indians have been preparing hard for their regional battle.
“We’re pretty excited for the upcoming regional’s,” Lai said. “I feel like our team is really prepared. We’ve been practicing everyday shooting the right spares, being consistent in our shots, and we’re just ready to compete.”
Class two will hold regional’s January 21st and 22nd at Park Ten Lanes while class three will hold regionals on January 22nd and 24th at Spanish trails.
Best of luck to all of our bowlers in their pursuit of a state championship!
