Coast Author Spreads Health Knowledge
From aspiring author to being an Amazon best seller, that’s been the road for one Coast author.
In the fall, Long Beach native Robby D’Angelo released his book “The Struggle is Real” about his road to losing over 100 pounds. Now, he’s spreading his message across the Coast. His newest program “Rise Up” isn’t just another weight loss challenge. It’s meant to help young students lose weight by first getting their teachers and coaches on board. It aims to educate the faculty on healthy eating and the importance of exercising, with hopes they’ll pass it on to their students.
He’s spreading this same message to everyone across the Coast. “Let’s be honest, diets do not work. So, what we’ve created is a lifestyle way of eating that you can actually stick to for the rest of your life because at the end of the day, it’s about your health. It’s not all about weight loss. That’s what we try to get people to do. We’re just going to give them a general picture of how they should be eating to accomplish their goals. There’s no cookie-cutter diet that works for everybody so we’re going to explain just how nutrition works. Therefore, they can make informed decisions,” said D’Angelo.
D’Angelo’s next event is “Body, Mind, and Macros.” It will be held tomorrow at CrossFit PortSide from 8:30 to noon. It’s $49 if you pre-register.
