CNBC study ranks Mississippi #1 as cheapest state to live in

With inflation rising, people are searching for the cheapest places to live. Thankfully for Mississippi residents, you won’t have to go anywhere to find a new spot.

According to a study done by CNBC, Mississippi ranks number one as the cheapest state to live in over the past year. The study gave Mississippi the highest 2022 cost of living score out of all 50 states.

According to the study, the average home price is $305,417 and an average monthly energy bill is only $160.90.

States number 5 through 2 include Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Kansas in that order.
