Closures and delayed openings across the Coast due to cold weather

Businesses around the Coast are closing due to the cold weather coming to South Mississippi.

Due to the severe weather and potentially hazardous road conditions, Tuesday’s Rotary Club of Biloxi meeting has been canceled.

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is closed Tuesday.
The Mississippi State Port Authority Administrative office is adjusting hours to ensure safety of staff, opening at 11 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m.
Coast Electric and CoastConnect offices will not open Tuesday until 10 a.m. Dispatchers and crews are on duty and will respond to any outages as usual.

Due to inclement weather, all Jackson George Libraries will be closed on Tuesday, January 16thThe library will reopen Wednesday, weather permitting.

The Ina Thompson ribbon cutting ceremony, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 16th has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Due to inclement weather, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center will be closed Tuesday, January 16th.

Due to inclement weather, Lava Links at the Scarlet Pearl will be closed January 15th and January 16th.

Gulf Coast Community Ministries has also made the decision to close on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, due to incoming weather conditions.

The Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, Region 8 will delay its opening until 10 a.m. Tuesday because of weather conditions.

All non-emergency offices in Biloxi will be open at 9 a.m.

In anticipation of cold-weather conditions, all Harrison County Senior Centers will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 and will resume normal operating hours on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024.
