Closer on Eye on Civil Rights Violations

The Department of Justice will soon be keeping a closer eye on civil rights violations here in South Mississippi.
Today, Head of the Department of Justice’s civil rights division Vanita Gupta announced a new civil rights section for the southern district of Mississippi that will investigate and remedy civil rights violations.
This new section welcomes information from the public regarding possible violations of our nation’s civil rights laws including, but not limited to, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Housing Act and Service Members Civil Relief Act.
