‘Close the Gap’ Campaign at Salvation Army
The numbers are in and for the Gulf Coast Salvation Army they aren’t seeing the funds they hope for from their Red Kettle Campaign.
In fact, they are facing a deficit of about $66,000. They think this is due in part because of Thanksgiving running later this year, resulting in less time for the kettles to be out and the bells to be rang.
That’s why they need your help South Mississippi! They are asking for donations to their ‘Close the Gap’ campaign so they can keep funding the many projects and community outreaches here on the Coast that help to make it a better place. Major Bradley Caldwell with the Salvation Army said, “We care about the folks who come and knock on our door seeking help. We don’t want to have to say to them we can’t help you. We know that the community is a giving community that wants to see people taken care of and we are counting on those giving hearts. The Kettle funds are part of our budget for the years programs that operate all year long and so ‘Close the Gap’ campaign helps us.”
You can make donations in person at the Kroc Center in Biloxi or online at salvationarmyalm.org/msgulfcoast.
