Climb C.D.C. Holds Shark Tank Competition

Climb C.D.C.’s Women’s Business Center will be hosting its very own Not So Scary Shark Tank competition Thursday, November 20th.

Multiple entrepreneurs will go head to head for a grant to help boost their business. Each of the four contestants will present their business plan to local mentors, or sharks, much like on the TV show, and get some advice in front of an audience.

Chantell Barkum, Community Organizer for Climb C.D.C., says, “Currently, we have a floor trader company that’s going to come in. We have a Cajun BBQ sauce. We’ve got a mobile disaster preparedness app, and we also have a solar boat tour that’s coming to pitch their ideas to the sharks.”

The event is Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Climb C.D.C. event center. Tickets are $25. Lunch will be provided.
