Click It or Ticket to be Enforced Heavily for Memorial Day Weekend

A reminder for those of you planning to hit the road for the holiday weekend:

Police throughout the state will be out in full force, keeping a close eye out for people who are not buckled up as the state and nation continue to enforce the Click It or Ticket campaign.

Highway patrol, local police, and deputies will be ramping up patrols over the next four days, looking for seat belt violations, speeders, and impaired drivers.

You can also expect to run into a few checkpoints on the Coast over this Memorial Holiday Weekend.

A word of caution: buckle up, don’t speed, don’t get behind the wheel when you’ve been drinking, and make sure you have updated registration and proof of insurance that’s easily accessible.
