City of Waveland receives grant for sewer improvements
WAVELAND, Miss. (WXXV)- Waveland residents in the area of Margie Street will see sewer improvements soon thanks to a $4 million grant from GOMESA funds.
This allows residents currently on a grinder pump to tap into the city’s sewer system. Construction is expected to start in a week or so, according to city officials.
This work is expected to cause traffic delays in the area.
All residents in the work area will be able to access their homes. The contractor is also working with Bay Waveland School bus drivers and Coastal environment to have access.
