City of Ocean Springs creating special project on Front Beach

The City of Ocean Springs is creating the Front Beach Event Space and Pavilion Project.

Funding for the project comes from grants the city applied to support each phase of the project.

The project is focused on outdoor recreation, green space, and enhancing the beauty of Front Beach. The City of Discovery is currently focused on the land base portion of the project, including a pavilion, space for food trucks, patio and seating, restrooms, and green space.

The property north of Front Beach will be restored with enhanced landscaping and native vegetation that will accommodate public access.

The third phase focuses on event space and pavilion and the fourth phase focuses on the marina.

If the marina portion of the project is built, it will be funded through the same types of grants.
