City of Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen call meeting to discuss city attorney

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- Two members of the Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen have called a special meeting of the board for Monday afternoon to discuss what they say are concerns regarding city attorney David Harris.

In a joint statement, board members Karen Stennis and Shannon Pfeiffer want to discuss the conduct of Harris, which Stennis and Pfieffer say include potential conflicts of interest, incorrect legal guidance provided to the board, the handling of executive session matters, and more.

Stennis and Pfeiffer also say they plan to introduce a motion to exercise the termination clause in the city attorney’s contract.

The meeting is set to begin at 4:30 at City Hall.
