City of Moss Point holds First Responder’s Appreciation Banquet

The City of Moss Point honors the men and women who serve the city during the First Responder’s Appreciation Banquet.

Moss Point police, fire fighters, public works, and EMTs received a huge thank you from Moss Point city officials.

These men and women put their lives on the line every day and night to keep their communities safe. In any weather, time of day, or situation, they are only a phone call away.

At Pelican Landing, the banquet served the responders a hot meal, offered spiritual guidance, and recognition for their daily sacrifice. Moss Point Alderman Ward 2 Darius Wilson said, “A lot of the work, they do go unknown and unnoticed. In the middle of the night, when there is a serious crime that takes place or an accident, you can count on your police and your fire department there to respond. Also, if there’s a serious break in the water lines, you best believe you can count on your public works officials to be out there to patch it up. Words can’t express enough how much we just want to say thank you.”

Moss Point hopes to continue this banquet for years to come.
