City of Long Beach recognizes Parks and Recreation Department

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Long Beach is recognizing July as Parks and Recreation Month.

The proclamation was made during the city council meeting.

It recognizes the work the Parks and Rec Department does as well as the positive impact they have on the community every day.

The department maintains facilities, assists with youth sports, special events, and recreational programs.

The city extends their appreciation to the entire department for all the work they do.
