City of Gulfport approves designs for new flag and seal, new motto

The City of Gulfport voted for their new city flag at Tuesday’s city council meeting.

Also discussed during the meeting was the adoption of a new motto for the city which is now ‘anchored in excellence.’

A new seal for the city was also adopted.

The design features the Jones Park Lighthouse as well as an anchor.

All resolutions for the designs and motto were passed unanimously by the council members.
