City of Gautier appoints new city manager

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Gautier has appointed Carlos Moulds as the new city manager.

As city manager, Moulds will oversee the city’s seven departments and 134 full time employees, leading day to day operations that deliver services to residents, businesses, and visitors.

On Wednesday, November 13, the city voted to hire Moulds to the position. He is a resident of Gautier who brings with him a professional background that includes leadership, conflict resolution, public service, and human resources experiences with the City of Virginia Beach and Huntington Ingalls Industries.

In a statement, Moulds says “Being raised in Gautier, I am beyond excited to be selected as the City Manager of the greatest city along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I look forward to working with the citizens of Gautier, the Mayor, and City Council to continue to move Gautier forward.”
