City of D’Iberville collecting Hurricane Ida relief donations

The City of D’Iberville set up a donation truck at the D’Iberville Fire Department to help those impacted by Hurricane Ida.

The donation center will be set up until the truck is full. The city will be accepting water, cleaning supplies, paper products, and non-perishable food items and other items.

They will not be accepting clothes or shoes. For a list of supplies you can visit the City of D’Iberville’s Facebook page. D’Iberville Fire Chief Gerald Smith said, “We collect these supplies because we know what it was like. After Katrina we knew we needed supplies.  A lot of people came forward and helped us out. So, we are returning the favor. We are in a position where we can do so. So, we are happy to.”

Supplies will be delivered to Louisiana communities as soon as the truck’s trailer is filled.
