City of Biloxi to roll out new grass cutting schedule
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Biloxi is launching a new citywide grass cutting program aimed at keeping parks and green spaces near public roads better maintained.
Under this new plan, the city’s busiest parks will be mowed every week while all other parks will be cut on a two-week rotation.
Major roadways, including Division Street, Popps Ferry Road, Cedar Lake Road, Howard Avenue, and Woolmarket Road, will also be cut every two weeks.
Grass near drainage ditches along smaller roads will be maintained once a month.
City leaders say the system will help crews work more efficiently while giving residents a clearer idea of when mowing operations are scheduled in the area.
The new system is set to begin citywide on March 30.
