City of Biloxi marks start of Carnival Season at Twelfth Night celebration
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Monday was Twelfth Night, which is the last night of the twelve days of Christmas and the start of Carnival celebrations.
The annual event marked the beginning of carnival season in a big way.
Crews from across the Coast arrived on floats and then gathered for the official changing of seasons at city hall.
With the flip of a switch, the red and green lights once illuminating the building are now glowing purple, green, and gold.
The celebration couldn’t be complete without music, gumbo, and king cake!
