City Looking to Combine Voting Precincts in Pascagoula
One city, one voting location. Could that be the future of voting in Pascagoula?
The city council, with support from Jackson County Election Commissioner Danny Glascox, is looking to propose every Pascagoula resident votes at the Jackson County Civic Center at the County Fairgrounds.
Currently, residents vote at different locations if the election is city or county based.
The recent two percent tax vote was done at city voting precincts, but November’s general election was at county polling places.
Glaskox has said having one location will not only eliminate the confusion, but also save the city money.
The council will officially present the idea at 6 tonight at city hall.
