City Council Allowing Property Owner to Cut Down Live Oaks

The Gulfport City Council voted 5 to 2 today to allow a business owner to cut down live oak trees to make way for a parking lot.
Property owner Dennis Barber now has permission from the city to cut down five live oak trees from his lot on the corner of 28th Street and Pass Road.
Barber tells News 25 the additional parking would help him sell the property.
