City breaks ground on new boutique hotel in Long Beach

Officials in Long Beach broke ground on the new Hotel Whiskey location.

The planned development is two years in the making.

The hotel will be built on Jeff Davis Avenue with upgraded plans to include three stories and 30 rooms.

An almost $8 million development is expected for the site as well.

While nothing is concrete, the possibility of new restaurants and other economic development is expected.
