Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi Reopens Pumpkin Patch

Temperatures are falling and the leaves are turning, and that means it’s time for the return of the pumpkin patch. Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi has been putting on the pumpkin patch for the last two decades, and continues the tradition this year.

People are encouraged to come and pick out a pumpkin or two, maybe even three, for decorations, jack-o-lanterns, or pumpkin pie. The patch is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. The patch will remain open until October 31st or until all the pumpkins are sold. Church members tell News 25 what the pumpkin patch is all about.

Mary Tio, Junior Warden, says, "It is a fundraiser that goes to all our Christian education for the children. It helps them go on trips and learn more about what the church is all about."

The pumpkin patch has been growing every year. Last year, they had 1,900 pumpkins. This year, they are up to 2,600.
