Chris Pryor gets win No. 350 as Gulfport blanks Harrison Central on Senior Night

The Gulfport soccer team wins a lot of games, 61 of them to be exact over the last three years, including tonight’s senior night home game against Harrison Central.

But only three times during that stretch had the Lady Admirals won a game by eight goals or more and what a night to make it four.

Lady Admirals playing host to the Red Rebelettes in their final regular season home game of the year.

Gulfport wins 8-0, but an extra special win for the Lady Admirals on this night. Career win 350 for Chris Pryor, all of them as Gulfport’s head coach, spanning more than two decades. Coach Pryor said, “I’m sitting here and I’m looking at some of the names that are on the soccer ball, and I’m looking at names that have been graduated four or five, six, seven years and I’m just kind of overwhelmed at the moment. I always want this night to be about my seniors and our boys seniors. But for them to be able to think enough of me to kind of put this together and surprise me – usually I have my finger on the pulse of the team, but obviously I missed some things today – so sometimes I forget how long I’ve been at one spot, but it’s a really special moment. It really is.”

Gulfport returns to action Tuesday at Biloxi for its final game of the regular season.
