Children’s Memorial Wall in Ocean Springs is taking shape
It’s been a dream for years and now the Children’s Memorial Wall in Ocean Springs will soon become a reality.
Construction workers have laid the foundation for the wall on the front lawn of the Ocean Springs Civic Center. Support group, Compassionate Friends of the Gulf Coast, are working with those who have lost a child, grandchild, or sibling to build the wall.
When finished, the wall will be made of engraved bricks in memory of lost loved ones. Anne Schuck with Compassionate Friends of the Gulf Coast said, “So often people forget and so we want people to remember them and we feel like this is a great way. This is a permanent monument that will be here. We’ll have benches and they can come and reflect and think about their memories and see their loved ones name engraved there on the wall.”
If you’re interested in ordering a brick, brick orders will be taken up until the end of February. Call 855-636-9255 to order a brick.
