Cheer Zone Athletics expands to Wiggins

The City of Wiggins has a new gym in town. Cheer Zone Athletics will be offering cheer and gym classes to locals. This now marks the 5th Cheer Zone Athletics location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Cheer Zone Athletics acquired the building from a former cheerleading team back in June.

When the previous owners reached out to Shiela Perry, owner of Cheer Zone – she was excited about the opportunity to keep Cheer in Wiggins.

“We’re excited with cheer zone to be able to be in the Wiggins community,” Perry said. “…and to just expand to more people and more youth the cheer zone experience. It’s been great so far, and we hope it continues to be great.”

The new Cheer Zone location will continue to provide some of the same services as before – like birthday parties and the special needs team.

In the future, Perry hopes to build more strong competition teams and harbor a love for cheerleading in the community.

“Our first goal is obviously to continue providing excellent classes on the hour. We want kids leaving here smiling and sweaty and having a great experience and just learning, having fun along the way. Our end goal is to continue building cheerleading in this community.”
