Charter Bank Honors the Master Grill in Ocean Springs

Coast residents gathered at Charter Bank tonight for a business after hours meeting and to take a trip back in time.
Part of tonight’s meeting was the opening of a time capsule buried in 2001 by the employees of the Master Grill, a popular restaurant that was once located at the site of the bank.
News 25 caught up with former owner of the Master Grill Heather Eason at the event to talk about what it means to finally see the capsule opened up. “I talked to them a couple of weeks ago at Charter Bank. It just so happened to coincide with their business after hours and it just really kind of fell into place exactly like it should have. It’s very humbling for me to see all these people in the community come together into this place that meant so much to them and to hear the stories.”
Eason tells News 25 the capsule held original menus, signed shirts and memories.
