Charges upgraded in February shooting in Gulf Park Estates community

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- There are new details and new charges in the investigation into a shooting at a Gulf Park Estates home in late February.
You may recall that these men, Christopher Landry and Glen Barton, were initially arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a 47-year-old man was shot on February 26.
Today, those charges have been upgraded to attempted murder. Barton is also facing new charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and tampering with physical evidence.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a fight between the suspects and the victim.
Barton and Landry are now being held at the Jackson County Jail on these new charges.
