Charges upgraded for suspect in New Years Day triple homicide in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Charges have been upgraded for the man accused of murder in the New Years’ Day triple homicide in the State Line community of Greene County.

Drexler Johnson was originally charged with the crime of accessory after the fact to capital murder. He is now charged with three counts of capital murder and one count of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Three people, Lester Campbell, Rhonda Denson, and Dirk Jason Thorton were killed at Clark’s Convenience Store in State Line, Mississippi early in the morning on New Year’s Day.
